Time to kick-off a great season!

Dear Whalers,

It’s another great week to be a Whaler.  We have a lot to celebrate and even more to look forward to.  Mr. Lazzareschi (our Lower School Principal) was in Dartmouth this weekend to see our performance in the parade and he wanted me to pass on to you his congratulations on a job well done.  In addition, I wanted to remind you how great a job you did spreading the Sound and Spirit of New Bedford throughout the area.

This week brings our first football game and the first public performance of our field show.  Our goal is to perform at least the first two movements of the field show and show great energy and involvement while we are in the stands.  We need solid attendance and focus at our rehearsals this week to make that possible.  Come ready to work.

Your weekly sheet is attached at the bottom of this page.
In addition, the newly updated fall schedule is also attached here.  The athletic department recently decided to move al home football games back to friday nights, so this changes our schedule a bit.  Please see the attached scheduled for the changes, and remember that the weekly sheet for each week is the final word on times for those events.

Thank you again for doing such a great job and showing your toughness and dedication in the parade this weekend.  I am very proud of you all, and I look forward to seeing how much that level of toughness can accomplish throughout this Marching Band season, and the entire school year.  I will see you all at rehearsal tomorrow, where hard copies of this weekly sheet will be available to take home. Continue to do your best in the classroom, and let’s make this week another great success.

As always, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.  Let's do our best, and make this a great week to be a whaler!  On New Bedford!

Yours in music,

Mr. Eric Drew
